SEXY LOUD
Tanmaya Bingham's dynamic series 'Sexy Loud' (2019-20 colored pencil and mixed media works on panel) are about women being their bold, raw, and badass selves. These colorful, striking, and confronting compositions echo the voices of the beautifully rendered female subjects contained in the image plane.
These strategically placed women are amidst a background of angular patchwork, acrylic paint, and glitter shapes that allude to a 3d space that seems to converge to accentuate the subjects’ position. Bingham's unconventional and sometime quirky manner of expressing the raw nature of women is refreshing and captivating.
